Our Mission & Vision

Our mission is to keep Central Texas safe. We provide resources and advocacy for Austin Police, Fire, and EMS to enhance the safety and well-being of our communities. 

Our vision is for every Central Texas resident to thrive in a safe and secure community. We will protect our region through collaborative, proactive, and innovative public safety solutions. 
So far in 2025, we achieved significant milestones, including: 

  • Approval a five-year police contract
  • Approval of the new public safety headquarters that will house Police, Fire, EMS
  • Funding for new patrol uniforms
  • Sponsored bullet proof vests for Austin Fire Fighters 
  • Co-sponsored K9 bullet proof vests
  • Securing renovations for a SWAT vehicle 
  • Scholarships for a leadership conference for female firefighters
  • Partnerships with local businesses on fundraisings efforts to enhance the Commission’s support for first responders


Together, we can enhance public safety, build trust, and ultimately create a stronger, more resilient Austin.
