Support Jeffrey Saenz

On June 1st, Jeff Saenz was involved in a terrible electrocution accident that most do not survive, after coming in contact with a downed power line. His partner Monica managed to free his hands with a broom handle and put out the flames with fire blankets ordered just days before. With their children standing by, Monica saved Jeff’s life. The extent of his injuries is still unknown. He experienced electrical burns, which have caused the amputation of his left hand so far, and he continues fighting to keep his right hand and arm. 25% of his body is affected with 3rd and 4th degree burns, which he is undergoing skin grafts for. Jeff’s recovery will be a long journey. He has been in the ICU for weeks already and is not expected to return home for months. He has already undergone 6 surgeries with countless more ahead. He is the owner of Dallas-based Modern Electric Sound Recorders, a producer, engineer, father, musician, friend, motorcycle enthusiast, and sole provider for his family. He has impacted the entire musical landscape of the DFW area. While it is true that he created the physical space that has helped birth so many amazing albums and songs for the better half of a decade, the space he has created far exceeds the physical location of the studio. The space is a direct reflection of Jeff’s kind, encouraging, and incredibly generous soul; It has held and blessed countless artists and friends in so many ways. The outpouring of love and support for Jeff and his family has been incredible, and is all we can do as a community to lift up this amazing man in his time of dire need. Please join us on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Doublewide Dallas for a festival benefiting the Jeff Saenz Recovery Project. “Jeff Fest” will include some of his favorite acts, artists, vendors, and patrons (local and beyond) who have selflessly offered to donate proceeds to Jeff and his family.
