GETAWAY & GIVE WEEKEND EXPERIENCE

The Getaway & Give Weekend is a three-day celebration of connection, purpose, and the beauty of the Dominican Republic. Guests arrive not only to enjoy a tropical escape, but to be part of something profoundly meaningful. Each day is intentionally crafted to blend unforgettable experiences with the impact of giving back.

We begin on Thursday with an intimate rooftop gathering overlooking the ocean, a warm and relaxed welcome that sets the tone for everything ahead. Friday elevates the energy with a sunset beach party at one of Las Terrenas’ most breathtaking shorelines, complete with Dominican cuisine, cocktails, and our signature DJ experience. By Saturday, the excitement peaks with the Gala Party at Porto Restaurant, an elegant evening of live entertainment, fine dining, and our highly anticipated auction.

Between the celebrations, guests experience the heart of our mission during the school tour, meeting the students and community whose lives are transformed through education.

7:30 PM | WELCOME PARTY | BALCONCITO BY MOSQUITO BEACH BAR

Kicking off our event weekend at Balconcito by Mosquito Beach Bar. Balconcito sits on one of the most stunning beaches in Las Terrenas, and many guests arrive early to watch the 6:30 sunset - please join us to watch! It is worth every minute.

The evening features a buffet-style dinner of authentic Dominican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and the unmistakable pulse of our live DJ. The party grows as the night goes on. Feet in the sand, music in the air, and a crowd that feels more like family with every passing hour.

11:00 AM | SCHOOL TOUR

Experience the heart of our mission with a guided visit to the Dominican Joe Foundation School. This is one of the most meaningful moments of the entire weekend. Guests step inside the very place where hope is built every day and where your generosity creates real change.

You will meet our students, teachers, and the community that has become our family. The welcome is unforgettable. Children run to greet you with a level of joy that stays with you long after the weekend ends. It is a moment that reminds us why we gather, why we give, and why this work matters.

During the visit we host a celebration in honor of our students and in appreciation of you. It is a lively, love-filled experience that brings everyone together in the most genuine way.

Please bring a bag of school supplies to contribute to the celebration. It is a small gesture that makes an immediate and meaningful impact.

Join us for a private lunch on the beach in Playa Bonita Residence and enjoy the afternoon. Our Group is secluded where sand meets the water. Enjoy stepping on the beach prior to lunch being served and enjoy lunch beneath the trees

The Gala Party is the signature event of the entire Getaway & Give weekend. This is the night everyone looks forward to, where celebration, elegance, and purpose come together in the most unforgettable way. We are bring our famous White Party Gala! Dress to impress <3 

Hosted at Porto Restaurant, the evening features live entertainment including traditional merengue and salsa, a live DJ, an open bar, and a full seated dinner prepared by one of the region’s top culinary teams. Guests will also experience an on-site cigar roller and a curated auction featuring exclusive travel escapes, luxury experiences, and community-centered contributions.

This is the night where joy meets impact. Every bid, every moment, and every connection directly supports the children and families we serve. It is the highlight of the weekend for a reason.
